We are so pleased that the teachers and students are enjoying the new Austin ISD Performing Art Center and are able to showcase their talents in an place built just for them.
Keystone Millwork was honored to provide the labor and materials for the Sons of the Republic of Texas float in the 89th Annual B/CS Christmas Parade. The float featured The Other Sister Cannon, an historically accurate reconstruction of the famous Twin Sister Cannons from the Battle of San Jacinto. The Other Sister Cannon is permanently displayed at the Boonville Historical Park.
We are so proud of this almost finished project. We worked with American Constructors to make this auditorium a beautiful place where all of Austin ISD can come and enjoy the arts. There are no straight walls in this building which was a new challenge for us but one we confidently accepted. In the auditorium, the two-tiered balconies are made of curved walnut panels and the radius wall panels are maple with horizontal maple accent reveal bands. Coordinating bands of walnut at varying degrees of width create a fluid, visually appealing and cohesive unit. The lobby features 26,000′ of vertically oriented douglas fir on a 300′ long curved wall.
