The Perkins Coie law firm has moved into a beautiful, new location in Austin, TX. This growing, international law firm has continued to flourish in Texas and their new, client-centric space occupies the 17th floor of a trophy class office building is located in the heart of downtown with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout that provide fantastic views of the city. It also incorporates dedicated private spaces that underline the firm’s values and commitment to its people and their wellness, including a meditation and wellness room, and a mother’s room. We were pleased to be a part of this project with Rand Construction and Perkins & Will Architects. Our work included the laminate cabinets and countertops, custom reception and hospitality desks, credenzas, wood wall paneling, tambour paneled tv walls in the work lounge and conference rooms, custom quartz planters and quartz countertops. We are especially proud of the showpiece reception desk is comprised of a radiused quartz set within a bronze powder coated metal frame. The inset walnut flitch on the posterior wall and the walnut ceiling slats complete look

West Campus Food Hall

March 4th, 2022|

The West Campus Food Hall at Texas A&M University in College Station is now open and full of students eating and gathering. This $15 million dining facility was constructed to serve the needs of students, faculty and staff on the West Campus of A&M. The Food Hall is one of the 41 dining locations on campus. This two-story facility includes indoor seating for 390 people and outdoor seating for 80. In addition to food options, the building also features seating and study areas throughout. We were pleased to participate in this project with Jordan Foster Construction and Lord Aeck Sargent Architects. Our work can be seen throughout the building but most notably, we contributed: the solid surface countertops, casework and wall paneling for all 4 food walk-up restaurants which each had unique designs with wood, metal and stone elements and the barn wood siding throughout. Here are some images of the project in it's final stages and then in use by the students.

Memorial Hermann PICU

February 14th, 2022|

The newly renovated Memorial Hermann Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Houston, TX is complete and ready to offer a colorful, warm space for little patients needing care. We had the privilege to work with Vaughn Construction and HKS Architects on this project. Our work can be seen throughout, most notably including: the plastic laminate casework, the nurses stations with acrylic resin decorative wave panels and solid surface waterfall countertops, the solid surface circular portals on radiused walls, the 3form acrylic decorative jewels, the solid surface door and shower thresholds, the acoustical fabric panels, the 3form acrylic decorative lobby windows and the solid surface elevator lobby panels. One particularly exciting challenge for us were the solid surface tube portals on the curved wall that were created for children to sit in and crawl though. Our customs team was able to bend the solid surface into seamless circles that laid perfectly in the radiused walls within their frame. We know this bright space will create a comforting atmosphere to little patients and their families and that it will be used by the Memorial Hermann medical

We were so pleased to work with CORE Construction and Kirksey Architects on this project. The three-story building has multiple rooms, each with their own unique name that reflects the city of College Station, including the Heart of Aggieland Multipurpose Room and the Kyle View Terrace on the third floor, along with the Platform Terrace on the second floor and the Bush 4141 Community Room on the first floor. This project finished under budget and almost four months ahead of schedule. City Manager, Bryan Woods, said at the grand opening, “The city of College Station, Texas, has officially existed since 1938. However, until today, we have never possessed a traditional city seal. So, if you look behind me, right up there over the doors, you will see the new seal of the city of College Station, Texas. It pays tribute to the Bush 4141 locomotive and our 41st president, Texas A&M University, Union Pacific and our armed
