We are so pleased to be on the cover of the winter edition of the Design Solutions magazine for our Computing Services Project at Texas A&M University. Congratulations, also to the architects at The Arkitex Studio, Inc. It was our pleasure to execute your beautiful designs. Click the image below to see the full article.
We recently wrapped up at the new E.B. Cushing Stadium for the nationally ranked Texas A&M Track and Field program. The 90,500 square foot facility seats approximately 2,200 and includes a nine-lane sprint and hurdle straightaway, a dual field event area, hospitality amenities, a press box, full-broadcast capabilities and service areas. It will house team meeting rooms, locker rooms, a training room, officials’ quarters and equipment storage as well. Texas A&M looks forward to hosting track competitions in their state-of-the-art facility.
The expansion into the new building created space to add a second CNC machine, the HOMAG Vantech 512. This new machine uses automated functions to retrieve the material to be cut, cuts and drills into the material seamlessly using an automated tool changer and then moves cut pieces along to assembly. Keystone’s commitment to excellent quality millwork that is on time and within bid is further accomplished with the aid of this state-of-the-art machine.
See it in action below:
Texas A&M University recently renovated their 2500 sq ft Computing Services Center devoted to assisting students, faculty and staff with their technology needs. Keystone was the millwork provider on this project. We contributed, most notably, the Corian Glacier White Genius Bar, Info Desk and Service Counter, the walnut lockers, the cedar tongue and groove bench, the walnut veneer wall panels and ceiling in the conference room and the “charging tree” comprised of 64 1″ x 1″ walnut wood slats.
Dee Childs, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, said of the new facility, “I am grateful to the Texas A&M Information Technology staff for all of their hard work on this state-of-the-art facility that will make such a big impact on our campus. This is a great example of an innovative strategic imperative that distinguishes our university.”
